  These HEPA 500 filters ensure high air filtration efficiency. The primary HEPA filter media for the HEPA 500 air scrubber removes 99.97% of particles down to .3 microns. The optional activated carbon filter, when used with a pre-filter and HEPA filter ,will remove odors, fumes and smoke - especially helpful in wildfire-prone areas. (Note: The DefendAir HEPA 500 air scrubber is discontinued, but filters are still available for ongoing use.)
